Hi, I am Anju Prasad, Ayurvedic Practitioner and delighted owner of Anju's Herbals. Anju's Herbals established for 6 years, and is based in Victoria, BC. I am very honoured to carry out my passion in life. I have 11 years hands on experience with plants, and 6 years in herbal medicine. I am a certified Ayurvedic practitioner, and I strongly believe in using phyto-therapeutic (plant medicine) to heal your body. My interest in Ayurvedic herbal medicine was sparked when my father passed away of cancer 6 years ago, shortly after I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder (ankylosing spondilytis). That series of events left me feeling helpless. I was opposed to the pharmaceutical route because it compromised my father's health. 

Moreover, I offer consultations. The first appointment can typically be from 1 to 2 hours. Follow up appointments will be from 30 to 60 minutes in length depending on distinct health matters you are dealing with. Typically during your first appointment we will review the intake form that you have filled out prior to the appointment, and review your detailed history of your current and past health issues. With the patient’s opinion, a personalised treatment outline will be suggested to help facilitate accomplishing his or her health goals. 

Further review of your history will also be examined, such as review of medications, supplements, family history, current/past surgical procedures, diet, lifestyle habits, attitudes, and constitution.

Lastly, herbal tinctures and formulations that you are prescribed will be printed and given to you, so you can educate and implement them in your daily regiment. This empowers you on what herbs are working for you, and why you are using them. My goal is to offer each individual with utmost compassion, care, and transparency, by building a case by case treatment regiment for every person. 

I am proud to be able to provide, quality, local, potent medicine that is hand formulated and made in small batches. I have used a plethora of supplements in the past and found that my tinctures work best for me because of the quality of herbs I use, which I source in British Columbia, and the strength of my tinctures. My tinctures are a 1:2 ratio, you will definitely taste the potency! Medicine made with love! 

My products are based off of Ayurvedic medicine. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word which means the "knowledge of life." Ayurveda is about aligning your body with nature, your health and well-being depends on fragile balance between mind, body, and spirit. Ayurvedic medicine states the importance of human's relationship to nature.
