A little about me

My name is Kathy and my pronouns are She/Her. I grew up on an acreage just outside of Calgary; this is where my love of nature began. I loved spending time with my Mom and Baba (grandmother) outside in the garden and playing in the trees. I definitely was the little girl with her pockets filled with rocks, feathers and other treasures. After earning my BA in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge I spent years helping children and youth through my position as a Caseworker for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Lethbridge and as a Child and Youth Care Worker in several schools in Southern Alberta. I was also able to spend time at home with my own children for most of their childhood. In the past few years I have been drawn to learning other ways I may assist others. I fell in love with Holistic Healing and helping others heal their mind, body and spirit. After moving to Vancouver Island with my husband and daughter and continuing my studies I decided to become a practitioner. While starting a new business during a pandemic was never on my bucket list ,  My intention is to hold space for you as you begin or continue on your healing journey; whether your goal is to simply relax or to work on other concerns I use a heart-centered approach to treatment. Sessions are customized for each client using Usui Reiki, Sound Healing and Crystal Therapy Techniques.

Since childhood even though  I was raised by my adoptive parents in a traditional Ukrainian and Swiss family, I have always been drawn to anything Celtic. As an adult I found out my birth father’s family was Irish. I chose Hawthorn as a tribute to my Irish roots. The Hawthorn tree is my Celtic zodiac symbol. It symbolizes love and protection and is regarded as a sacred tree. As with many trees our ancestors used different parts of the tree for medicinal purposes. The imagery of a tree with its branches reaching towards the sky and sun, its canopy offering shade and protection and its strong roots anchoring it and grounding it to the earth below all lend to a perfect representation of how I see holistic healing.

Reiki is a from of holistic energy healing from Japan. It utilizes a safe  and non-intrusive hands on approach to help remove blocked energy and help a client relax and manage stress.

Crystal Therapy

Crystal Therapy is a holistic treatment in which a practitioner places crystals on or near the client to utilize the vibrational energy within them and the client in order to foster healing and relaxation . Crystal therapy is excellent for re-aligning the body’s chakras.

Combination Therapy

I feel that for most clients using combination therapy will bring the strongest and best results. By utilizing the healing vibration of both Reiki and Crystals in the session and creating a customized treatment session plan for the client.

I have a private and serene treatment room in my home in Langford.

All services are conducted using COVID-19 safety guidelines. At this time due to the space size as well as the treatment type I will be continuing to require face masks. If you can not wear one I can accommodate you with a distance healing session.
