Ladies, this is a hands-on group for you where we all learn how to read Tarot together in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The group has voted to meet alternate weeks at the Oak Bay Rec, and on Zoom, so please check carefully on Meetup when you register so you know whether to come in person or log on Zoom. In compliance with Covid restrictions, we ask that you only register for the in person meetups if you are fully vaccinated and willing to wear a mask when not drinking/eating.
No books, no apps, we just use our intuition and whatever knowledge we have to read a couple of spreads each every week. If you have been reading tarot for a while, then this is probably not the group for you. On the other hand, if you are brand new to tarot or have been 'pottering around' with it for a while, then you may be the perfect fit. We focus on the positive and everyone helps out so no-one is put on the spot trying to give a reading with no idea what to say!
When we meet at the Oak Bay Recreation Centre, in the Sports View Lounge they request no outside food or drinks and each person to make a purchase. However we will be keeping an eye on the Covid numbers and restrictions. This past year we were on Zoom every week and will do so again if the Covid situation requires. This posting and the registration posting on Meetup.com will be updated with location or Zoom link if necessary as we see how things are going. Our first meeting of the fall was Thursday, September 16th and weekly thereafter.
To be part of this group, whether in person or on Zoom, you have to join "50s-and-Up-Social-Friends-Club-in-Victoria" on www.Meetup.com The fee is $5 for an entire year, then you can attend any events run by this group. The Tarot for Beginners and a-bit-beyond Beginners is a sub-group of 50s-and-Up-Social-Friends-Club-in-Victoria, so having joined that you can then register for any of our meetings. On Meetup.com search for 50s-and-Up-Social-Friends-Club-in-Victoria then scroll down the events till you find Tarot for Beginners and a-bit-beyond Beginners.
