About Andrea Penagos - Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Reiki
Andrea Penagos is an RTCMP, Medical Herbalist, and Reiki Master registered with the CTCMA, the California Acupuncture Board, and the NCCAOM. She holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles and a Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine (Phytotherapy) from Pacific Rim College in Victoria.
Andrea is passionate about helping patients improve their quality of life and well-being through the tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine, lifestyle medicine, and individualized holistic care. Her practice is based on the understanding that the body innately knows how to heal itself and its potential can be optimized through acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, movement, and everyday self-care. Other modalities in her toolkit include cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, tui na, and Reiki energy healing.
Andrea treats a range of conditions including acute injuries, chronic pain, sciatica, headaches, fatigue, anxiety, depression, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, and fertility challenges.
Andrea's greatest joy is witnessing people increase their quality of life and live vibrant, pain-free lives through the power of natural medicine. Andrea is bilingual and offers her services in Spanish when requested.

Feeling vitality I didn't have before
I came to Andrea at the beginning of the year with some long-standing back pain and digestive disorder issues. She did a through intake and talked to me at length to get a better understanding of my concerns taking into account not just physical body, but the emotional and mental states as well. When I received the acupuncture treatments for the first time she calmly explained each step in the process and my nerves were put at ease. She has a smooth, gentle and precise manner and a wonderful healing space where she provides her therapy. She’s a professional healer who takes time to really listen and is intentional about the treatment she provides. I can say that after three months my back pain is under control, almost gone and my gut is feeling more balanced. I’ve gained a vitality that I didn’t have before my treatments with Andrea.
